Yi-Long
Jaw
Dr.
Yi-Long Jaw is Professor of International Business in the
College of Management at the National Taiwan University
(NTU). In the capacity of professorship, he has involved
deeply in teaching and research. The arena of courses includes
international business and marketing /distribution. Research
streams also parallel to the courses taught. Some of the
research projects are sponsored by the government, such
as Fair Trade Commissions (Executive Yuan) and Department
of Commerce (Ministry of Economic Affairs).
Professor
Jaw is participating actively in public services, including
the Consumer Foundation, the Direct Selling Association,
the Central Government, and the Taipei City Government,
to promote the well-beings of general public.
Dr. Jaw graduated from National Taiwan University in 1979
with Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering
and obtained a Ph.D. of International Business from the
Ohio State University in 1987.
His
present and previous public and advisory duties include
Director of Consumer Foundation of the Republic of China,
Adviser of Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), President
of Consumer Reports from 1998 to 1999, and Reviewing Committee
member of City Government of Taipei.
