Stephen
Loke has been active in and a member of The Consumers Association
of Singapore for 20 years. He had Chaired Committees raging
from Consumer Affairs, Mediation and Casetrust and also
The Proposed Fair Trading Legislation Committee and went
on to Co-Chair a Task Force for Fair Trading Legislation
with Ministry of Trade and Industry.
He has
since leaving CASE in September 2002 formed a new Society
launched in May this year namely the Centre For Corporate
Social Responsibility promoting business ethics which he
is the President and now creating a regional grouping of
such centers. Stephen Loke is a practicing lawyer by profession
for 16 years and has recently written an article for the
law gazette entitled the Changing Landscape of Consumer
Law in Singapore.
