Takaya
Mr.
Shoji Takaya was born in Sapporo, Japan.
In November
1961, Mr. Shoji Takaya joined Ministry of Economy, Trade
and Industry (METI), which was formerly called Ministry
of International Trade and Industry (MITI), where he was
assigned to the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology
(AIST) of METI. He had held various important posts for
30 years until he left MITI in 1999.
Mr.
Shoji Takaya is now the Director General of General Affairs
Department of Hokkaido National Industry Research Institute,
Director General of Administration Department of National
Research Laboratory of Metrology, Director of General Affairs
Department of National Institute for Advanced Interdisciplinary
Research, and Director for Research Coordination and Director
General of Administration Department of Geological Survey
of Japan.
Mr.
Shoji Takaya has been elected as the Executive Director
of Japan Direct Selling Association (JDSA) since June 1999.
