DIRECTOR
WORLD FEDERATION OF DIRECT SELLING ASSOCIATIONS (WFDSA)

Ms. Gabilaia serves as the Executive Director and Chief of Staff of the 58 nation World Federation of Direct Selling Associations. In her capacity, she oversees the development, planning and execution of WFDSA program of work that aim to enhance direct selling reputation, promote womenˇ¦s economic empowerment initiatives, foster ethical conduct in the marketplace and improve local association management. She works with various governments, consumer groups and academics around the world on various consumer education and protection initiatives.

From 1994 till 2000 Ms. Gabilaia was a diplomat and was actively involved in shaping Georgiaˇ¦s foreign economic policy with other countries. Ms. Gabilaia has experience in matters of international commerce and business. She was involved in the preparation and negotiations of key economic agreements and treaties among Georgia and foreign countries as well as Georgiaˇ¦s WTO accession process.

Ms. Gabilaia holds BA from Tbilisi State University of Foreign Languages and Culture and MA from the School of International Service, American University in Washington DC.

Ms. Gabilaia is a Co-Chairman of the WTO Section of the Women in International Trade (WIIT) and a member of the WFDSA Board of Directors. Ms. Gabilaia is fluent in Georgian, Russian and English languages.

Ms. Gabilaia is a Master of Sports in Rhythmic Gymnastics.
