PROF. VIRAPHONG BOONYOBHAS
VICE DEAN OF FACULTY OF LAW
CHULALONGKORN UNIVERSITY

Prof. Viraphong Boonyobhas is currently the Vice Dean of Faculty of Law of Chulalongkorn University. He also holds the position of Director of Business Crime and Money Laundering Data Bank.

With his expertise in criminal law, economic crime and anti-money laundering law, Prof. Boonyobhas has played an active role in advocating business law enforcement. He has engaged in the Legal Drafting Commission on Anti-Money Laundering Law and Cyber Law of Thailand. He serves on the boards of Money Laundering Control, and Department of Special Investigation of Ministry of Justice. He also provides legal advice for Economic Crime Suppression Division Office of National Police and Department of Special Investigation.

Prof. Boonyobhas is committed to protecting consumer rights by serving as the Chairman of Board of Direct Selling Marketing at Office of the Consumer Protection Board (OCPB).

Prof. Boonyobhas graduated from Chulalongkorn University with a LL.B. He was awarded a LL.M (Criminal Justice) degree at New York University in 1977. He also received the certificate in Real Estate Law at New York University and the certificate in Law Enforcement at Police Science Institution in the same year.
